Set in the picturesque Somerset village of Wrington (the birth place of the philosopher John Locke), it's an easy drive South out of Bristol, only 15 minutes from Junction 21 of the M5, and just 5 minutes South of Bristol Airport. It's the perfect place for exploring the villages,
towns (Bath is only half an hour away) and the rolling pastures of Somerset (the Mendips
are on the doorstep). The Cheddar Gorge is also only ten minutes away.

SMOKING POLICY

In line with current legislation, we do not allow smoking in the pub but we do have a large covered area in the garden

WHEELCHAIRS
There is full wheelchair access to the front of the pub. It is always advisable to phone us first, so that we can make sure your visit is perfect.

CHILDREN AND MINORS

The Plough is an adult's pub, especially in the evening. We welcome children in the pub, away from the bar until 7pm. They may use the outside areas of the pub at all times as long as they remain under parental control. Children may come and eat in the restaurant (at our discretion) as long as they are accompanied by an adult. We do have some high chairs on request. We do not have children's menus, but do make smaller versions of many of our dishes on request.

DOGS

We welcome our furry friends in the front bar, but prefer to keep them out of the restaurant areas. There is a dog's bowl available on request.

BOOKINGS AND SERVICE

We do take bookings. We operate table service in the restaurant areas of the pub. In the front bar and garden, we ask customers to order at the bar. Unfortunately, because all food is cooked fresh on the premises, we ask for a pre-order for parties of over 10 people.

FUNCTIONS AND PARTIES

We can accommodate these either in the garden restaurant or side restaurant. Our policy is that we can create anything you like - from curries, to 'carve your own' roasts, to hot and cold buffets, to hog roasts or giant paellas. The best thing to do is to come and sit down with our chefs for inspiration!!
